Chapter Ten

Thursday morning, Susan received a phone call from Miss Stoneburner.

"Mrs. Cervini, have you made a decision regarding a full-time position?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I've been preoccupied with...personal matters. Family business."

"I see."

Susan smiled and said, "All right. Yes, I'll do it. I accept the full-time teaching position."

"Welcome aboard. We're a friendly family and you'll be an asset to our school."

Susan's chest puffed. She felt her tummy tickling. This was a good thing. She just knew it. "Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity, Miss Stoneburner."

"I'll see you after the break then."

"Yes, ma'am. Bright and early. Happy New Year!"

"Right. Happy New Year to you, too, Mrs. Cervini."

* * * *

Susan went shopping at Victoria's Secret.

The sweet young sales associate said, "Good morning, can I help you find something?"

"Yes. Can you show me your latest styles, well, the best sellers in panties and bras and whatever sexy thing is out for a special occasion?"

She followed the girl, who looked like she'd stepped straight out of their catalog.

"The boy briefs are really hot now. Just a scrap of lace, made so that your bottom is on display nice and high. The cheeks hang halfway out on purpose. And thongs are always popular. A sheer lacy bra to match. What color did you have in mind?"

"Color?"

"We have aquamarine, red, black, champagne, shell pink and white."

Susan stretched a pair of white lace panties in her hands.

"Oh, girlfriend, that's too boring. How about aquamarine or black or red?"

Susan remembered Johnny had worn teal briefs. "I think he likes aquamarine."

"Good. They're buy one, get one free. Will it be black or red?"

"He loves my hair, and picked silk sheets that would contrast against it, so I guess black."

The sales associate smiled. "If I may...we get a lot of guys in here buying gifts. If he's got a thing for your hair, then you don't want to cover up the black with black then."

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I get your point. I guess I'll get red then."

"What size?"

"Medium panties. 34C for the bras."

"We have lace cat suits, which are hard to keep in stock."

Susan followed the girl across the store.

"What do you think about these?"

"Wow." Susan shot a look at the big catalog photo blow up on the wall. What a body that model had, to pull-off that stretch lace. "I don't think so. I don't really know what he likes yet."

"Oh, is this your first time with a new man?"

Susan blushed. "How about fragrance? Do you have samples?"

The sales girl led her to the other half of the store and Susan sniffed until they all smelled the same. "I don't really know what he likes fragrance-wise."

"Okay. How about a gift for him?"

"You sell men's things?"

"Only a few select pieces. She led her to a small niche in the rear of the sore. Silk robes and thongs.

"Umm...no, I don't think that would be..."

"Okay, is there anything else you need? Hosiery is on sale. Buy three get one free."

"No, this is everything."

Susan paid the girl and carried her tiny pink and white Victoria's Secret signature bag outside.
